Klumpfisk & Lights Over LA

Klumpfisk makes some really great etherial electronic beats. These tracks would sound great on the dance floor, but I feel like they might be equally suitable for basking in the fog at some very remote cold beach. I thoroughly enjoyed all the tracks we're posting today, and I hope to hear more of his stuff in the future.

Prince Klassen, my favorite DJ from Austin, sent me a new track today! Its a great party jam. I highly reccomend downloading it. Im also posting his Ghosthustler edit. Ghosthustler is a defunct band now, but their lead Singer is producing AMAZING tracks under the moniker Vega . He will be Djing in Oklahoma along with Females on January the 29th! Get excited!

Little Jinder

The Trouble & Bass crew is mostly known for their in your face aggressive bassline music. However, with the release of the Little Jinder EP Polyhedron, they have taken a turn for the softer side of the spectrum. The production in this EP is awesome, and the vocals are pretty dreamy. My favorite track is I like it causal, but all three that Josephine has sent us are pretty damn amazing. This is a great Pop album. Trouble & Bass had a remix contest for the track Polyhedron which has long since past, but you can still get the parts to the song and the master here.

B-Ju remixes Little Jinder and Data

Today we have a couple new remixes from German Producer Dj B-Ju. They're both heavy on the 8-bit sound. The first one is a remix of a Little Jinder song. I saw that girl perform live at Trouble & Bass when I was in Brooklyn recently. She was pretty awesome. The second song is a remix of that Data song Rapture that everyone and their dog remixed. It's a pretty solid track as well.

WZRDZ!

WZRDZ is a new group composed of Mark Reveley from Meterhead and and Mike Genius. They have an EP coming out in January on Crushed Records. This song is their first release and it's a good one. Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit has been remixed quite a few times, but this is the only version besides the original that I have ever liked. Hope you like it to! Be sure to watch the video as well. It's pretty crazy.

Prince Klassen is the man.

Prince Klassen is one of my favorite DJs from Texas, and I recently learned he's also quite a good producer too! Klassen started Djing when he was 14! Daaaamn! That isnt even fair. When I was 14, I was still playing with action figures. I feel so inferior. Originally from San Antonio, he now lives in Austin where he holds down a weekly and a monthly. I would describe most of Klassen's edits as funky goodness. He's chopped up everybody from Chromeo to Aretha Franklin, but it all seems to be held together quite well by a fresh disco funk beat. Today we're offering you my FIVE FAVORITE Prince Klassen edits. That's one generous dude! He sent me about 12 I think, but I dont want B to have to do the links for 12 different songs. Quiet music

Today Im posting something a little different than the pulsing Electro beats that usually grace this page. It was a bone chilling 19 degrees when I woke up this morning, and it doesn't seem to be getting any warmer. Fortunately, we were sent some tunes from a band called Dignan today. They're perfect listening for a cold day when all you want to do is retreat home to stay warm. Dignan is composed of five friends from Mcallen Texas. They are the product of the two original members spending many a long night staying up in a church writing songs together. Their efforts definitely paid off. We're posting two tracks today, but Dignan are currently giving away both of their EP's for free! Check them out at Noisetrade. We never post this sort of stuff, but this was just so good we had to post it. Take a listen yourself, and I think you'll agree.

Automatic Panic vs Dj Cat NYC Obsession Remix!

Im absolutely in love with the remix I got in the mail today from Automatic Panic! Obsession, the 80's hit by Animotion is an awesome track in it's own right, but the things that Automatic Panic and DJ Cat NYC have done to it are sick. My favorite part is the nasty wobble bass throughout the track. The two leave the best parts of the song relatively intact, and build layers of awesomness on top of it. This will definitely be going in my set tonight, and it should go in yours too. Automatic Panic has been consistently killing it lately. Look back at the last post we featured on him, his Bizarre Love Triangle Remix, if you like this song. Both go on my highly recommended list.

Lady Sovereign sent us a new track. I read somewhere once that she doesn't shave her armpits. That's... cool. She's been out of the limelight for a while now. Maybe it's because everyone just talks about her armpits and everyone got grossed out. Well, no more! There are lots of other things that we could talk about. She's also very little and wears side pony tails all the time. Fortunately, I got past all of that long enough to listen to her track and it was pretty good. The video is awesome too! Inspired by the movie The Warriors!

Rainbow Arabia

So this band Rainbow Arabia is awesome. My friend Sean from Sydney Confirm and Disqo Disco told me about them. His band is awesome too. There isnt too much about Rainbow Arabia on their Myspace. They sound like the creation of an Alien Space Craft that abducted a really musical African Tribe and then dumped them back on Earth with sweet new Alien Keyboards the likes which this planet has never seen or experienced. Tribal Electro! The next big thing! You heard it here first.
